WHAT IS SALINE TATTOO/PIGMENT REMOVAL?

A specialized, all-natural saline solution which is implanted over your existing permanent makeup or small tattoo. It’s very safe and highly effective. This procedure is for both cosmetic and conventional body tattoos. It contains finely milled sea salt, purified water, lemon seed extract, orange seed extract, or grapeseed extract and aloe.

You would feel a little to no pain during this procedure. Topical anesthetic would be used to numb the treating area before the procedure, and then the technician would work on the skin with the saline solution. We offer local anestesia with our doctor in the office, but you have to make a special appointment for it.

This process would make the saline and the pigment come out to the surface of the skin, it will form a scab. The tattoo would be lighter after the scab has fallen off. However, the result can’t be guaranteed due to every tattoo being different. The result depends on the age of the tattoo, how much and how deep the pigment was implanted into the skin, what type of pigment, and the thickness of the skin. A tattoo might need 1 to 6 removal procedures on average.

Implanting the solution into the skin breaks up the healed pigment, and begins to lift the pigment out of the skin by osmosis. os-mo-sis /äzˈmōsəs/ a process by which molecules of a solvent tend to pass through a semipermeable membrane from a less concentrated solution into a more concentrated one, thus equalizing the concentrations on each side of the membrane. The pigment is slowly pulled to the surface of the skin and heals into a scab. When the scab falls off, that pigment falls off with it, leaving a lightened tattoo.

PROCESS

With enough saline treatments, some tattoos will dissapear completely. Other tattoos will fade light enough to have permanent make-up re-applied over, but will not completely dissapear.

You will see the fading after first session. It depends on many factors how fast it will fade. In most cases, appoximatel 80% of people will see tattoos fade to the point that they will be difficult to notice or good enough to correct your tattoo.

Whether your previous permanent makeup or tattoo dissapears completely depends on how deep your tattoo is and how long ago you got the tattoo. In most cases the tattoo will not dissapear completely, but it will become lighter, at which point you and I can then take further corrective action, such as applying permanent makeup over the old tattoo.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQYIRED?

This treatment usually takes average 3 - 4 procedures. However, your results will depend on how long you have had the tattoo and how deep the tattoo is. After your first treatment has healed, we will look at how much your tattoo lightened and will get a better feel for how many procedures might be required for your tattoo.

HOW MUCH TIME IS REQUIRED BETWEEN TREATMENTS?

Because saline tattoo removal uses the same tools as applying permanent makeup, the healing times are similar. Thus your treatments must be at least 3 to 4 weeks apart to give your skin time to heal.

We also tell our clients, if you need more time to heal by all means let your skinn heal properl because some of us heal slow.

WHO CANNOT DO IT?

Saline removal is very safe BUT we will not work on pregnant or nursing women.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT THAN LASER?

Laser tattoo removal works by an entirely different mechanism. A laser is just an intense beam of monochromatic light. When we see color, we are really seeing certain wavelengths of light bouncing off the surface of an object. The rest of the wavelengths are absorbed by the object. So, each color of your tattoo will need to be targeted with the correct wavelength of the laser to penetrate and break up that particular color of the pigment. Over time, your body's immune system will absorb the pigment and you will see the lightened tattoo.

• Laser breaks down the pigment and all the toxins are absorbed by your body besides that laser is a radiation. Technically, you are gething radiated plus the tattoo remaines are added to your limphatic system.

When removing with saline tattoo pigment is lifted UP throught the surface of your skin.

Lasers canot remove all colors, saline can. Lasers are not able to address all colors. This is why they do not work with blond hairs when people do hair removal.

Same applies to the pigment in your tattoo. Lasers can not address all the colors. Saline removal is targeting the all colors of pigment.

• Laser tattoo removal is not able to remove the white pigment or white ink which is part of many light colr pigments. Saline is ideal for that because it pulls the pigment UP to the surface of the skin.

When an object appears white, it is reflecting the entire spectrum of visible wavelengths of light. It is not absorbing the light. This means you cannot target it with a laser.

Laser can be costly without giving you a result you are looking for.

The laser can run you $250-$500 per session. If you are undergoing sessions by a laser machine that cannot target all of the colors used in your tattoo, there may be certain colors that won't go away!

Saline tattoo removal can be safer and less painful than laser tattoo removal.

It also does not have the risk of your tattoo becoming darker, as with laser tattoo removal.

Saline tattoo removal works on ALL SKIN COLORS and all types of pigments (though it works better on some types of pigments than others -- effectiveness is easiest to determine after the first procedure).

The saline tattoo removal method can work on some pigments that laser tattoo removal is unable to break down.
